John Robertson Award

We were honored to receive the 2025 John Robertson Award from the South Dakota Horticultural Society at this year’s State Fair.

Named for an advocate of horticultural education, the award celebrates those working

to grow horticultural knowledge and community. We’re grateful to be part of that legacy.

Customer Appreciation Promotion!

As late summer settles in and fall planting begins, we’re taking a moment to say thank you. Your support—through every question asked, plant chosen, and story shared—helps us grow deeper roots in this community.

To show our appreciation, we’re offering special promotional discounts on trees, evergreens, shrubs, and perennials. Whether you’re refreshing a corner of your yard or planting for pollinators, we’d love to help you find something beautiful, resilient, and just right for the season.

Stop by the nursery to explore what’s in bloom- Let’s celebrate the season together.

Reflection from Des Moines:

National Perennial Plant Symposium

Connor had the chance to attend the National Perennial Plant Symposium in Des Moines earlier this month—a gathering of growers, designers, and educators passionate about resilient perennial landscapes. The trip was rich with garden inspiration, practical growing tips, and meaningful conversations with fellow professionals.

I’ve returned with fresh ideas for summer and fall planting, new perspectives on perennial care and growing, and a continued appreciation for the role native plants play in resilient design. You’ll see some of that inspiration reflected in our upcoming selections, seasonal tips, and community workshops. Stay tuned—there’s plenty to grow together.

Plant feature of the month: Prairie Blazing Star

With its upright lavender blooms and graceful grass-like foliage, prairie blazing star brings late-summer drama to any garden. A magnet for butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil—perfect for prairie borders, cutting garden patches, or anywhere in between.

Native, resilient, and undeniably radiant.
