Hello friends,
As May continues on, we keep coming back to the people and partnerships that make this work meaningful. Early spring has brought a fresh wave of good conversations, shared problem‑solving, and the kind of progress that only happens when everyone works together. And with today’s steady rain showers slowing the pace just enough, we finally had a quiet moment to pull these notes together.
If you haven’t made your first visit of the year yet, this is a wonderful time to stop by. The benches are filling, new growth is popping, and the nursery is shifting into its full spring rhythm. This month, we’re excited to share our complete native plant grow list, give you a glimpse of what’s taking shape inside the greenhouses, and a look at our bareroot production for the season ahead. You’ll also find our updated Memorial Day holiday hours and revised early‑season hours to help you plan your visit.
We’re grateful to be entering another growing season with you — and we’re looking forward to everything that’s taking root.

Native Plants!
We’ve compiled a list of our native plant selection and added additional space designated for native plants this season. There may be some updates and changes, but this is a majority of our planned inventory for this spring’s native perennials.

Bareroot tree & shrub production
With warmer temperatures moving in next week, we’ve closed our bareroot cellar for the season and completed potting our own tree and shrub production. These young plants shown are growing roots in their new containers and will be available for sale later this fall.
While some seasons allow for bareroot planting later into May and June, the recent dry conditions we’ve been experiencing will make tree establishment more difficult. While the rainfall today will help newly planted trees, we need weekly rains for drought conditions to improve in a significant way.
